1. Purpose of Research
In order to promote gender studies and realize gender equality, the Center for Gender and Women’s Culture in Asia provides support for individual or group-implemented original research and research meetings.
2. Applicable Research Costs
Costs incurred in conducting surveys, collecting materials, giving overseas presentations, holding international symposiums and workshops, etc. (Travel expenses, honoraria, consumables, etc. (Limited to purchases usable within the year.)) For details, please contact the division in charge indicated below.
3. Amount of Research Grant
100,000~200,000 yen per research project. (Amounts are determined based on the scope of the research.) Maximum of 2 new and 2 continued projects.
However, expenses shall be executed in accordance with university regulations and shall be conducted through our center.
4. Period of Research
The period of research shall be one year. (Research findings are to be submitted for each year.) It is possible to apply for a maximum of one continuation.
Individual or group research on gender issues. (Nationality, age, gender are irrelevant.)

7. Period of Application

8. Determination and Notification of Acceptance
Our center will screen applications and notify applicants of acceptance by the end of April 2020.
9. Submission of Report
A research activity report must be submitted for accepted research projects by the last day of April 2021.
10. We prefer those accepted to submit their original research results to the journal Gender and Culture in Asia.
